Sales and Marketing Director
Job Description
This role is ideally suited for candidates who have 7-10 years of sales and marketing experience combined. Both marketing and sales experience required. This position will report to the President of CornerStone Flooring and will serve on the management team of the company. Candidates should possess a strong track record of sales management and sales representative success, the development of successful marketing plans, marketing tactical implementation, and strong communication skills. Sales and Marketing Director position is located at corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for developing and evaluating CornerStone Flooring's sales and marketing strategy
- Sales
- Develop and manage the company's sales process
- Hire, manage, coach and develop sales team
- Set sales activity and sales quota goals and metrics
- Travel with sales teams to assist with customer calls
- Manage project quoting and bidding process
- Manage CRM tool, reporting and metrics
- Work with marketing to develop sales collateral materials
- Assist with account management of largest clients - manage senior level relationships and assist with RFPs, presentations, etc.
- This role may own specific accounts and be accountable for sales results
- Work closely with Operations to ensure strong project success
- Marketing
- Develop and manage Marketing Plan, overall brand strategy, and manage tactical implementation
- Tactical plans will include multi-channel marketing: Trade shows, website, speaking engagements, webinars, database marketing, email marketing, online and print media advertising, pay per click, social media, trade association involvement, PR as well as sales collateral support
- Measure success of marketing efforts
- Lead large account management activities including client presentations, webinars, RFPs, etc.
- Support the sales organization with sales collateral materials, RFPs and other activities
- Initiate, coordinate and analyze market research with clients
- Negotiate contracts with sales and marketing vendors
- Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Qualifications
- B.S. in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
- Biopharma or food/beverage industry experience preferred
- 7-10 years of sales and marketing experience
- Both sales and marketing experience required
- Sales management experience required
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
